I have worn myriad hats in my life, and all of them have given me the skills to drive students to their potential.

Engineer

I graduated with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, then worked in Control Systems for Southern Company. Since I started teaching, I have helped clients earn degrees in Robotics Engineering, pass the FE Exam in Civil Engineering, get certified in Solidworks, and bring up grades in countless Electrical and Mechanical Engineering courses.

Doctor

After graduating, I matriculated to medical school at UAB. Besides the time management skills to drink from a firehose, I also learned a massive amount of Biology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, and Physiology. I’ve put them to use helping Nursing, Physical Therapy, and of course Medical and Pre-Med students.

Teacher

From teaching Physics II at Georgia Tech, to training technicians for Southern Company, to educating patients, imparting my knowledge to others has always been a part of my life. Since taking leave in my final year of medical school, I’ve spent thousands of hours helping hundreds of students achieve their dreams.

Dad

Since leaving medical school to take care of my two wonderful girls, I’ve developed a new respect and appreciation for the impact of teaching and mentorship on the developing mind. I strive to provide the engaging, holistic, and encompassing education I want for my own children.

I genuinely loved having Jonathan as my ACT tutor. My test taking skills, confidence, and definitely my algebra skills improved dramatically in just a month. He is also very relatable and clearly cares about the success of his students. Highly recommend.

What We've Achieved

  • Guided a legally blind student from start to finish in a Robotics Engineering degree from a prestigious university.

  • Improved one student’s ACT score by 7 points in 4 weeks, earning her an additional $10,000 in scholarship money.

  • Taught a disabled client from scratch to use SolidWorks well enough that he passed the certification exam.

  • Mentored an aspiring medical student through her MCAT preparation, applications, and interviews to the end.

  • Clarified and kindled a student’s passion for Chemistry that translated to a 10-point improvement in her 9-weeks grade.

  • In three intense days, rescued the failing Physics and Calculus III grades of a very bright young man—who’d neglected to attend class that semester—with knockout performances on both finals.

  • And countless uneventful semesters of difficult or intimidating classes that wound up giving nothing but good grades, because my students were ready.
